For the past 12 years, Karen has worked as an internal and external leadership consultant, helping organizational leaders and managers become more effective. She has worked in a variety of industries, including high-tech, biotech, finance, and creative design. Her expertise areas include executive coaching, teaching presentation skills, leadership development education, and management skills training.
Adept at translating abstract leadership concepts into practical skills, Karen has trained and coached thousands of people globally, and is adroit at working in high-pressure, fast-paced, cross-cultural environments.
Karen received her BA in International Studies and Psychology from Emory University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She also holds an MA in education from San Francisco State, and has done graduate work in anthropology at UCB and Columbia University. She is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese, and has spent a total of six years living and working in Europe and Latin America. She is a certified New Ventures West coach, and is also a certified MBTI instructor.
