Kelsey Blackwell

Consultant

Kelsey is passionate about creating experiences where authentic connection across our shared humanity can flourish. Using the tools of mindfulness and somatic awareness, Kelsey’s life work is helping individuals, teams and communities to integrate the wisdom of the body as a pathway to work with ourselves and others more effectively.

As a facilitator and coach, she develops individual and teams’ capacities to align their values with their actions and to negotiate otherwise difficult subjects in an environment of mutuality and respect. Her key focus areas are diversity, equity and inclusion and community building.

Kelsey’s path to consulting and facilitation started with a love for words and storytelling that bridges difference. Her writing has appeared in several national publications including Ebony, Cooking Light, Southern Living, Delicious Living and The Arrow Journal. Kelsey holds a BA in Journalism from Southern Utah University and received her MS in Magazine Publishing from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.

  1. Kelsey identifies as bi-racial and Black and grew up just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. Not seeing herself reflected in her community, she found her “home” through movement and has studied ballet, hip hop, modern and African Dance.
